5 Under Golf Center’s, Karlei Hemler, is a known force in Southeast Texas golf.
A former collegiate golfer and award-winner of “Best Female Golfer” of the 2017 Babe Zaharias Junior Golfer Awards, Karlei has dominated just about every course on this side of Texas. She even holds a record for lowest score at her alma mater, Port Neches-Groves High School.
From golf swings, to grips, to navigating a tight lie between a sand trap and a sloped green, Karlei knows more about golf than most. That’s why golfers, colleagues, and customers all trust her advice and expertise at the pro shop at 5 Under.

She helps customers find the right shoes, apparel, and equipment to fit their game, their style, and budget. After breaking golf records at PNG high school, she went on to play for the McNeese State University golf team. She also played for Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
Karlei's love of golf goes back many years. She grew up playing in Groves, Tx with the best coach possible - her dad. Among her favorite golf courses are Pebble Beach, Koasati Pines, and Cog Hills in Illinois.
Karlei's experience makes her a highly sought after source for input on golf clubs. She handles re-grips, custom fittings, and assists folks in the shop with everything from Ping, Callaway, and Cleveland to Adidas, On Cloud, and lululemon.
She can look at your swing and diagnose the issue—rotation, angle, under or over the ball, and more. Plus, she can astutely prescribe the right club, degree, shaft, and swing mechanics to help improve your game. She is always a fun teacher for our Kids Camps and golf clinics at 5 Under Golf Center, too!
Her bag is carefully cultivated collection, She'll tell you that it has evolved and fluctuate over the years as she wants to be prepared for anything and everything on the course.
