Jordan Soper, Head Golf Instructor and Pro Shop Manager, joins 5 Under Golf Center’s series “In the Bag” to detail the clubs he carries, the equipment, the balls, the gloves, and accessories in his bag.

Soper carries a popular stand bag, the Titleist Players 5. This bag has deep pockets, extra accessory pouches and pockets, and is light enough to carry with ease while still able to pack all the necessities.

He packs Titleist Perma Soft gloves, a FootJoy Rain Jacket, and a Bushnell Rangefinder along with spare batteries and a Sharpie.

His clubs are a winning variety of brands—a carefully cultivated collection that offers a glimpse into his precision and experience over the years.

Jordan hits the Titleist GT3 Driver with a stiff shaft. He plays a Taylormade M4 4-Wood, and he trusts his putts to the Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2.5.

“I recently got this Scotty putter, and it’s as pure and reliable as I’d hoped it would be,” says Soper. “It’s a really great, meaningful gift from my wife.”

He plays Srixon ZX7 irons from 4-iron through pitching wedge. He says he likes the feel and he’s able to shape the shots effectively while getting a little more height when he needs.

Jordan plays Vokey wedges—58, 54, and 50 degrees. He has enjoyed Cleveland wedges and speaks highly of the performance and value, but he’s at his best around the green with Vokey.

He keeps a driver head tool and a bit of lead tape in his bag opposite his tees and ball markers. He has a pouch specifically for watch, wallet, and miscellaneous to keep safe and separate.

“Having a set order to everything in my bag every time I hit the course is important,” he adds. “It allows me to focus on the shots and feel comfortable and confident.”

Jordan Soper has played competitive golf for a number of years and he has seen a fair share of gorgeous courses throughout his career.

Among his favorites are McLemore Resort in Georgia and Payne’s Valley in Missouri.

Another favorite golf course is Bluejack National in nearby Montgomery, Tx.
